Soft water (8° dH):

Light soiling: 5–9 g/kg of dry laundry

Moderate soiling: 8–12 g/kg of dry laundry

Heavy soiling: 12–16 g/kg of dry laundry

Moderately hard water (8–15° dH):

Light soiling: 10–14 g/kg of dry laundry

Moderate soiling: 14–18 g/kg of dry laundry

Heavy soiling: 18–22 g/kg of dry laundry

Hard water (> 15° dH):

Moderate soiling: 15–25 g/kg of dry laundry

Heavy soiling: 20–30 g/kg of dry laundry
