Clax Calcsoft is a liquid booster, based on a unique blend of polymers, ensuring low water hardness and a concentration of ions that prevents precipitation of detergent ingredients. The polymers also act as anti-greying agents by retaining solid particles in suspension, which prevents them from settling back into the formation. Clax Calcsoft is usually used in combination with a liquid main wash detergent and enhances soil removal by isolating the hardness of the ions.

The dosage level depends on the wash schedule and water hardness. The dosage (g/kg of dry linen) depending on the water hardness is indicative:
< 5,5 °dH: 1,5 - 3
5,5 - 11 °dH: 1,8 - 3,6
11 - 17 °dH: 3,6 - 5,6
> 17 °dH: > 5,6
